Regardless of whether you are a novice or experienced in family history research, the Exploring Your Roots Cruise will be an informative learning experience where you will be able to hone your research skills – all while enjoying a fabulous cruise vacation!
Interest in exploring family history is a passion that is shared by millions around the world. Indulge your passion for genealogy while experiencing the pampered luxury of a 7 night Eastern Caribbean or a 5-night Bermuda cruise. Meet some of the top genealogy experts – learn from them first-hand how to improve your success in your quest for information on your ancestors; make new friends who share your interest in family history research.
All classes will be conducted by qualified professional genealogists who are anxious to show you their tips and tricks. They bring with them a wealth of information and experience that will help you get the most out of your research. You will learn how to plan your strategy, improve your research skills, use online tools, and best of all—get help to tear down those brick walls!
Seminar Bonus—Ask an Expert! - Each participant will have a private 30-minute consultation with one of our professional genealogists. You will even be able to submit your questions prior to the cruise!
There will be plenty of time for you to enjoy your cruise vacation. Classes are only scheduled during days at sea (our latest class only runs until 2:30pm, plenty of time to catch some rays!) – no interference with shore excursions and ports of call. Evenings will be free for you to enjoy the ship’s entertainment, as well as informal social gatherings allowing you to interact with other participants and the professional genealogists.
Royal Caribbean’s Adventure Ocean program is available for children ages 3-17 while the adults are in class. Babysitting services are available. See the full brochure for details on Adventure Ocean and babysitting details. The Freedom of the Seas will be receiving a makeover inn 2010 to add new facilities for children.
Space is limited – make your reservations early to be sure to be included in one of these fantastic learning experiences! Two cruises to choose from – Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas, sailing out of Port Canaveral, Florida, June 5-12, 2011 to the Eastern Caribbean, or Royal Caribbean’s Explorer of the Seas, sailing out of Cape Liberty, New Jersey, October 22-27, 2011 to Bermuda.
Exploring Your Roots Cruise reservations are being primarily handled by Lynn Polgar in our Michigan Regional Office.
